ROBERTSON PARK The northwest corner of Robertson Park contains the WA Veteran Tennis Club's tennis courts. In the park, near the corner of Carr and Fitzgerald Streets is a rennovated house. The Studio is between these two buildings, in the middle of the open lawn to the south (city side) of the tennis courts. The southeast corner of the park contains a winter lake. In 2004 the Town of Vincent spent $500,000 on improving the Park, with new trees, gardens, paths, lighting, public art, seating and a winter lake. In 2009 the factories to the south of the park were converted into housing. Click here and type in "Robertson Park" in the Step 3 (Optional) Search by Keywords to read and see pictures on the history of the park (within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet's Northbridge History Project website). Well worth a look and read. |
